When we say we will, we will! As Christians, we know we are all called to participate in ministry on some level, so when we commit to something we will follow through.

All we choose to do will be directly related to our Mission and Vision, realizing there may be some good things that we do not do so we are not distracted from those things we have been called to do.

Whatever we do will be done with excellence and with the understanding a goal might take time to accomplish, but the end result will be our best at representing God's best.

Pastor Chris & Tracy Binion
Founding PastorsFor over 20 years, Chris and Tracy have used their ministry skill sets to help other pastors pursue the vision God has placed in their hearts. They have been blessed to learn, grow, and experience some of the most amazing moves of God. Prior to answering the call to launch Encounter, Chris and Tracy prayed that God would show them His purpose for their lives and they believe He has answered. September 10, 2017, they launched Encounter Church located in Fate, Texas. Its purpose... Love God, Love People, Serve our World!

Pastor Marlon May
Associate PastorMarlon received his call to preach at age 22. He delivered his first sermon shortly after and became a licensed minister. In 2002, he was ordained as an associate pastor. His previous roles have included Pastor of Helps & Hospitality, Director of Finance, Board Member, and Senior Pastor.

Haley Binion
worship pastorFrom a very young age, Haley has had a calling placed on her life. While growing up, her parents helped to foster the talents God had given her. She began her worship journey by singing in church and after several years of helping others with worship, she began to step out and lead. She has been with Encounter from the beginning and her desire is that each person, through worship, encounters God in a deeper more intimate level. A level that causes things to shift in their lives. Haley loves singing and connecting with everyone she meets.
Chris & Crystal Negron
Student PastorsWith a love and passion to see young people live a life for Jesus, Chris and Crystal have poured their lives into Student Ministry for over 15 years. Their heart is to equip teenagers to become the young men and women God has called them to be, which will enable them to be a difference makers wherever God directs them in life.
Pastor Daisy Ogle
Children's pastorFive years ago, the Lord placed a calling on Daisy's life to minister to children. For the past four summers she has been a part of Dave Roever Camp, where she helps minister to children of wounded warriors. Daisy has a desire in helping and guiding children in their relationship with the Lord and a passion in seeing children's hearts on for fire God.

Jeff Bright
Audio Team LeaderJeff's knowledge in audio is second to none. From a young age he watched as his dad served in the same capacity, so it was no surprise that Jeff would take on the family business. He has a heart to serve and through the gift the Lord has given Him, he is able to help members at Encounter experience God in an amazing way.
Todd Wall
Video Team LeaderTodd has Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and spent 10 years in full-time ministry as a lead pastor and church planter. He currently is a Partner/Owner and Communication Coach for Hite Digital, a digital marketing agency ranked #7 among marketing agencies on the Inc 5000 list.
The fun part about Todd is that he also grew up in and has spent the last 30 years in Sport Broadcasting. He has worked for ESPN, Fox Sports, The Dallas Cowboys, and the Dallas Mavericks, on events such as the Super Bowl, NBA and NCAA Championships, and the World Cup. His biggest regret in TV is that Michael Jordan landed at his feet, and he did not reach down and touch the hem of his garment.
But Todd has reached out and touched Jesus and received His healing touch. This has become what drives him to be committed to speaking words that give life, because the power of life and death are in our tongue. He uses speaking, teaching, and video to accomplish that mission.
Cynthia Young
First Impressions Team LeaderCynthia has served in ministry over 20 years. Prior to coming to Encounter Church, she attended Word of Life Bible Training Center in Jackson Mississippi. She has helped plant a church in Hattiesburg Mississippi where she served as the assistant to the Pastor and his wife. She has also served in various roles throughout those years and recently took the responsibility of leading the First Impressions Team at Encounter. You will always find her sharing a beautiful smile and a welcoming hello.
Melinda Linton
Social Media Team LeaderMelinda took her creative and administrative traits and paired them with her intrigue and love for social media and made it into a career. That career brought her from the East Coast to Texas and landed her at Encounter Church where she uses her talents to share the experience of an encounter with God through social media. Melinda’s love for God and passion to help others, drives her to fulfill her desire to connect the community with the church.
